How to connect your social accounts

Connect LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram and more to MarketMee so your posts have somewhere to go, and reconnect an account when its login expires.

MarketMee writes your posts, makes your images and videos, and then publishes them for you. For that last part it needs to know where to post. Connecting a social account takes about a minute: you log in to the platform as usual, approve access, and the account shows up in MarketMee ready to use.

Connecting accounts is free and works on any plan.

Which platforms you can connect

The Accounts page lists LinkedIn, Twitter / X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest. LinkedIn, X, Facebook and Instagram are fully live, including LinkedIn company pages. TikTok, YouTube, Threads and Pinterest are being added. Once connected, you can post to any mix of them at once.

Step by step

  1. Open Accounts. Click Accounts in the sidebar.
  2. Pick a platform. Under Connect a Platform, click the button for the network you want, for example Connect LinkedIn.
  3. Log in and approve. The platform's login opens in a new tab. Sign in with the account you want to post from and approve access. MarketMee posts to LinkedIn company pages, so for LinkedIn choose the page you manage.
  4. Come back to MarketMee. A Connecting your … account banner shows while MarketMee finishes up. This usually takes a few seconds, and you don't need to click Connect again.
  5. Done. A … connected message appears and the new account shows up under Your Accounts, briefly highlighted so you can spot it.

Repeat for each platform you want to post to. Platforms you've already connected drop off the Connect a Platform list.

Your connected accounts

Each account card shows the platform, the account name and Connected with the date you added it. From the card you can:

  • Reconnect the account when its login has expired (see below).
  • Disconnect it. You'll be asked to Confirm first. Disconnecting stops MarketMee posting to it; you can connect it again later.

Once an account is connected, set the times it should post on the Schedule page. Queued posts and Autopilot posts go out in those slots. See how to schedule a week of posts.

When a login expires: reconnecting

Social networks log apps out from time to time, for example after a password change or simply after a while. When that happens MarketMee can't post to the account until you log in again. You'll notice it in a few places:

  • The dashboard shows N social accounts need reconnecting, with a Reconnect link.
  • The account card on the Accounts page shows a Reconnect button.
  • In the composer, the account shows Reconnect first under Platforms and can't be selected.
  • On a post that failed for this reason, the post page offers Reconnect accounts.

To fix it:

  1. Go to Accounts and click Reconnect on the account.
  2. Log in again in the new tab and approve access.
  3. Come back. The account is ready again.
  4. For any post that failed while the login was expired, open it (from Posts or the Timeline) and click Retry failed. There's no need to rewrite it.

If something goes wrong

  • It's taking a while. If the banner says it's taking longer than usual, wait. The account appears on its own, so there's no need to connect again. If it still hasn't shown up after a minute, refresh the page and try once more.
  • "Already connected to another MarketMee user." Each social account can belong to one MarketMee login. Disconnect it from the other MarketMee account first, then connect it here.

Tips

  • Connect before you create. Having accounts ready means you can publish the moment your first image or video is done.
  • Set a schedule right away. Without posting times, queued posts and Autopilot have nowhere to go.
  • Check the dashboard now and then. The reconnect alert is the quickest way to catch an expired login before a scheduled post fails.

Next, create something to post: images from your code or a narrated video. Then follow how to create and publish a post.
