How to create images from your code

Turn a repository, a few commits or a one-line idea into on-brand marketing images in MarketMee, then edit them, write posts around them and publish.

A good marketing image says one thing clearly, in your colours, with words people can read at a glance. MarketMee makes them from your code: you point it at a repository, describe the idea or pick the commits to show off, and it writes the headline, designs the image and checks the words came out right.

This guide covers creating images, editing them, turning them into posts and publishing them.

Before you start

  • A connected GitHub repository. Images are built from real code, so you need at least one repo connected on the GitHub page. If you haven't done that yet, claim your free sample first; it walks through connecting GitHub.
  • A paid plan. Each image costs 70 tokens. Your free onboarding images don't need one.
  • Brand colours (recommended). MarketMee finds your colours in your code, and you can check or override them in Settings. See how to set up your brand colours.

Step by step

  1. Open Create image. Click Create image on the Images page or on the dashboard. The page opens with a short How it works strip: Pick a repo, Describe it or pick commits, Get your images.
  2. Pick a repo. Choose the Repository and Branch the images are about.
  3. Pick commits (optional). Under Commits, tick up to 20 commits you want to show off. Leave it empty if you'd rather describe the idea.
  4. Describe it. With no commits picked, the box reads What should the image be about? and is required: describe the feature or announcement and MarketMee finds the related commits for you. With commits picked, it becomes Anything to add? (optional), for a focus or angle. Either way you have up to 2,000 characters.
  5. Choose how many. Set Number of images from 1 to 8. Images are spread across the styles you pick, so more images means more variety.
  6. Pick styles. Under Image & headline styles, choose at least one image style (Elegant, Streamlined, Bold, Minimal, Modern, Gradient or UI Preview) and at least one headline style (Announcement, Feature Spotlight, Changelog Recap or Tech Update).
  7. Generate. The cost is shown above the button. Click Generate N images (for example, Generate 3 images).

MarketMee takes you to the review page for that request while the images are made.

The review page

The review page has three sections:

  • Generated Posts: posts written around your images, once you create them.
  • Images: every image from this request, appearing as each one finishes.
  • Changelog: a plain-English summary of the commits the images are about.

Edit an image

Click an image to open it, describe what to change in Describe the changes you want ("make the headline bigger", "use a darker background"), and click Apply Edit · 70 tokens. You can also open any image from the Images library to edit it later.

Write posts around your images

Click Generate Posts and choose the Number of post variants (1–5) and Images per post (1–8), plus the styles and any Instructions (optional). Each variant gets its own caption and images, so you can pick the one you like best. Captions can be edited by hand or with Rewrite, which is free.

Publish

In the Publish panel:

  1. Under Select Accounts, choose where the post should go.
  2. Optionally set a date and time in Schedule (optional).
  3. Click Publish … to N accounts, or Add to Queue to drop it into the next free slot in your posting schedule.

Queued posts follow the times you set on the Schedule page. See how to schedule a week of posts.

Where your images live

Everything you make shows up on the Images page, newest first. You can also attach images to any post from the composer with Browse AI Images. See how to create and publish a post.

Generating posts with images makes new images, which are charged at 70 tokens each. The price is always shown before you confirm, and failed images are refunded.

Tips

  • Pick fewer, better commits. One clear feature makes a stronger image than ten small fixes.
  • Use the prompt for the angle. "Focus on how much faster search is" steers the headline better than a long list.
  • Try two or three styles. It's the quickest way to find a look you like, and you can set favourites in Settings.
  • Edit instead of regenerating. When an image is nearly right, an edit keeps what you liked; a new batch starts from scratch.
