Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

  • Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Company and brand details you give us during onboarding or in settings, such as your company name, product description, website, logo and brand colors.
  • Connected social accounts: when you connect LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest or another platform, we receive basic profile information (such as your account name and ID) and the permissions needed to publish on your behalf.
  • GitHub data: if you connect GitHub, we access the repositories you choose, including commit messages and code changes, so we can describe what you shipped.
  • Content: posts, captions, images, videos, voiceovers and media you create, upload or generate with MarketMee, along with your posting schedules and preferences.
  • Billing information: your plan, token balance and purchase history. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type, request logs and error reports that help us keep the service secure and working.
  • Session recordings: for a small share of visits, and when an error occurs, our error-monitoring provider (Sentry) records how pages behaved, such as clicks, page changes and errors, so we can find and fix problems. Text on the page and anything you type are masked, and images and media are blocked, so recordings do not capture your content.

How we use your information

  • To provide the service: generating posts, images and videos from your updates, and publishing them to the accounts you connect, at the times you choose.
  • To manage your account, including sign-in, email verification and password resets.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription and token balance.
  • To send you service emails, such as verification links, password resets and important account notices.
  • To keep MarketMee secure, prevent abuse, and diagnose and fix problems.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run MarketMee, and only as needed for them to do that work:

  • Post For Me, which connects your social accounts and publishes your posts to each platform.
  • The social platforms you connect (for example LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Threads and Pinterest), which receive the content you choose to publish.
  • GitHub, when you connect your repositories.
  • AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI and ElevenLabs), which process your content and prompts to generate text, images and voiceovers.
  • Stripe, for payments.
  • Amazon Web Services, for file storage and sending email.
  • Our hosting, database and error-monitoring providers (such as Railway and Sentry).

YouTube and Google data

MarketMee uses YouTube API Services. If you connect a YouTube account, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s Privacy Policy applies to Google’s handling of your data.

We use the access you grant only to upload and manage the videos you choose to publish through MarketMee and to show you your connected channel. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect your YouTube account in MarketMee at any time, which stops MarketMee from using it and deletes the access we store. To fully revoke the permission you granted, remove MarketMee from your Google account permissions.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your theme, and we and our error-monitoring provider use session storage to carry in-progress actions between pages and to group a session recording together. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout pages to prevent fraud.

How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you disconnect a social or GitHub account, we stop using its access and remove the stored credentials. When you delete your account in settings (or ask us to), we cancel any subscription and delete your personal information and content, with any remaining copies removed within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records (such as billing records) to meet legal or accounting obligations. If you received a free sample video, we keep the GitHub account ID it was granted to, and nothing else about you, so the same GitHub account cannot claim another free sample.

Your choices and rights

You can update your account and brand details in settings, disconnect any social or GitHub account, and permanently delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To make any other request, email us at marketmee.ai@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, encrypted storage of access tokens, and limited access to production systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you if a breach affects you as required by law.

International transfers

MarketMee is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. When we transfer information, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

Children

MarketMee is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
